AeroDeck processes data from independent providers. Attribution does not imply a partnership. Data may be incomplete or outdated.

Maps & flight data

• Maps: OpenFreeMap, © OpenMapTiles, © OpenStreetMap contributors. OSM data is licensed under ODbL 1.0.
• Flight data: ADSB.lol, also ODbL 1.0. AeroDeck filters and normalizes reports, combines regions and estimates flight phases. Animated positions are not new observations.

Data access & modifications

Our derived ADSB.lol datasets and OSM-based ATC database are offered under ODbL 1.0. The free data and methods archive (tar.gz) contains the complete ATC snapshot used, the additional airport catalog and flight-data processing source code. It is not a global live-data archive. File list & SHA-256 hashes.

The current ATC dataset is also available as JSON. Accounts, private locations, messages and user photos are excluded. Their permissions and rights remain separate.

Places & weather

• Airports, runways and frequencies: OurAirports, public domain. AeroDeck selects fields and associates radio references.
• Places: GeoNames, CC BY 4.0. City names, coordinates and administrative references are reduced and normalized for search.
• Model weather: MET Norway, CC BY 4.0. Units and weather categories are adapted and wind values displayed spatially. Licence information.
• METAR: NOAA Aviation Weather Center. Units and presentation are adapted; AeroDeck is not an official weather product. Terms and potential third-party rights.

Other content

Aircraft details and, where available, routes: ADSBDB. The provider’s source notes credit PlaneBase for aircraft data and David Taylor and Jim Mason for routes. This content is not part of our open-data offer.

Airline names and reduced-size logos come from imgmongelli’s directory. Its README states MIT; trademarks and image rights remain with their respective owners. No endorsement is claimed.

LiveATC opens on external websites. AeroDeck does not transmit or transcribe these streams. LiveATC’s terms apply; links do not grant reuse rights.

Map rendering: MapLibre GL JS, BSD-3-Clause. Data licences apply independently of software licences.
